Enrichment Program for Special Rescue and Recovery Unit 669
In our ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency and quality of emergency services, Hatzalah Yehuda and Shomron, with the help of the Maale Adumim Fire Department, organized an enrichment program for the 669 Rescue and Recovery Team.
Following any multi casualty incident, numerous emergency teams are called to the scene of the accident. Very often, the scene becomes chaotic and confused due to the lack of communication between the support services. As a result, the emergency services are inefficient and consequently compromised.
In order to improve both efficiency and quality of care provided, Hatzalah Yehuda and Shomron organized, with the help of The Maale Adumim Fire Department, a full day of drills and exercises for the reservists of Special Unit 669, who represent an integral part of rescue activities in Yehuda and Shomron.
The reservists familiarized themselves with the "Gaash" - a rescue vehicle with unique capabilities. The "Gaash" is the most up-to-date rescue vehicle used by fire departments in Israel. The "Gaash" is equipped for any and all eventualities. It has enormous capacity for weight and is equipped with a raft should a rescue be required in raging streams and rivers.
Throughout the day the reservists participated in activities all focused on team building: emphasizing the need for cooperation, collaboration and team work.
Working together...helping one another... to achieve a higher quality and more efficient standard of care.
