New Branch of Hatzalah Yehuda & Shomron in Western Shomron
Urgently needed equipment now in the Western Shomron
It is with great pride that we announce the opening of a new branch
of Hatzalah Yehuda & Shomron that will service Western Shomron;
Oranit, Shaarei Tikva and Elkana.
This branch was opened in response to an urgent need to increase the number of first response certified emergency medical personnel with equipment for the local population numbering approximately 6000 families.
At the opening ceremonies Chanan Malka, the Director of Hatzalah Yehuda & Shomron; Chaimon Blumenfeld, Chairman of the Shaarei Tikva Regional Council and Itamar Abromovitch, Director of Volunteers for MDA Yarkon spoke about important activities of the organization. During the ceremony, 18 resuscitation kits including 15 BLS (Basic Life Saving) and 3 Paramedic ALS (Advanced Life Saving) kits were distributed to the volunteers.
Within just days, the importance of this contribution to the region proved itself when one of our volunteers treated, with the help of his new kit, two injured people involved in a car accident.
Let us all hope and pray, that though our volunteers are now well equipped, with God's help they won't need them.
